A Future Never Known Just Released

I’ve just released A Future Never Known, a standalone sci-fi. I haven’t written anything outside the Galactic Coalition Academy series in a while, so it’s been a nice break. It’s an adrenaline-ride, non-stop chase book that follows two amnesiacs battling for their memories and the Milky Way. If you liked Betrothed or any of my other chase sci-fi series, check it out.

I’ve only released the first episode and the complete series. I have released the complete series on Amazon this time (primarily because I was too lazy to write blurbs for each episode). If any of you remember from my last email, I have an issue with Amazon incorrectly price-matching my box sets and making them free. If that happens again, I’ll have to take it down immediately and put up the more expensive episodes.

I’m still waiting on A Future Never Known to publish across all my retailers, and I’ll list the links when I’ve got them.

In other news, I’ve just finished a fun urban fantasy with the working title A Lick of Flame. I started planning a short series, but it became four books of 87,500 words each. I’m pretty happy with it. I concentrated on snappier dialogue and tighter action scenes. I hope you guys like it! I’ll publish it sometime in the next few months.

If any of you watch my upcoming releases, you’ll notice I keep pushing back publishing Lost in Front of You. It’s been finished and edited for months. It even has a cover. I just have one finicky editing task left, and I keep putting it off. I will either publish A Lick of Flame or Lost in Front of You next month. We’ll see if I finally get around to my task!

I’m just about to draft and start writing the next Galactic Coalition Academy novel. It’ll be a short series. I’m settling into a rhythm of writing a short series then a longer series. Writing a longer series helps offset the time needed to write a longer series. I prefer writing shorter sci-fi anyway; it means they’re tight and punchy. When I expanded GCA into a meta-series, I started with mini-series, anyway.

I’ll make a few website changes in the upcoming months. I use Shopify, and I know it’s stacked with cool features – I just never get around to looking into them. I’m vaguely thinking about offering a subscription model. I have a lot of books, after all! I’ll research it and update you guys in the next email if it works.

I’ll also be expanding my store to accept payments from more countries. I don’t at the moment because of tax issues. I think it’s time I pull my socks up and do it anyway. I super appreciate it when people buy directly from me.

I guess I have a lot of work to do. Time to get to it. I hope everyone has a great month and happy reading.
